Open Coffee Cambridge, September 2026
The September meetup, held at the Glasshouse during Cambridge Tech Week, with 26 one-minute introductions. Health and life sciences ran through the morning, from chronic disease data and hospice care to earbud health sensing and a diagnostic for self-injurious behaviour, alongside deep tech, energy and a lot of people building something new. The intros were followed by a fireside chat between angel investor Simon Thorpe and Tim Passingham of Cambridge Management Consulting, on what makes a company investable, the Cambridge x Manchester partnership, and why founders have to learn to sell.

Open Coffee Cambridge, July 2026
Twenty seven speakers, a full room spanning deep tech and life science founders, fractional and consulting talent, and the people who build the Cambridge ecosystem itself. Several were marking a milestone that morning: a third exit, a third enterprise contract, or a first day working for themselves. The intros were followed by a fireside chat with Daniel Rooke of OtoImmune, on the route from law to venture to founding and on what it takes to raise money now.
About Open Coffee
Open Coffee Cambridge is an informal networking event for entrepreneurs, professionals, students, and members of the startup community. It is a place to find mentors, investors, clients, collaborators, and inspiration, bringing together the CAMentrepreneurs network and the members of Innovate Cambridge's The Glasshouse.
The introductions are led by Jeremy Leong, founder of Rainbow Rocket. The event follows the Open Coffee format run in Ericeira, Krakow, Lisbon, Sydney, and Warsaw by Richard Lucas and others since 2013, and the CAMentrepreneurs Cambridge chapter is led by Tasneem Khatib.
